Country Where Potato Is Loved More Than Anywhere Else!

We all love potatoes & more than potatoes we love the potato products, be it Potato Chips, Aloo Paratha, Baked Potato, Dum Aloo & the list goes on (can’t list more :)!). You know, average person consumes 33 kilograms of potatoes each year! That’s a lot, right? Then who fulfills such a huge potato demand and where does the biggest potato fans live? Well, answer to both questions is same – China! Yes, China is the largest producer as well as consumer of potatoes, the world’s fourth largest food crop! About 25% of the potatoes is produced in China’s about 136 lacs acres potato fields! Thanks & well done China!
